About
Worldmillion is the name of the fictional universe that encompass a history of over a million years. Starting in Earth’s ancient history, and ending far in the future, when humanity has evolved to live beyond the stars. Worldmillion brings together fantasy and sci-fi to tell a new story, where the universe itself is one of the main characters. Centered around the beings known as Ultras, mythical men and women with godlike strength, abilities, and knowledge, Worldmillion is about the uplifting of mortals from primitive beings into a planet-hopping, galactic, and even universal, state of existence.
The mythics, created by God themself, inhabited the Milky Way Galaxy for billions of years, using magic and hidden dimensions to travel from star to star. After intelligent mortal races began to evolve, mythics divided and fought over what to do with them. One side saw mortals as the future, and wished to uplift them using the laws of physics they evolved to obey. Science and technology would need to be created in order for them to rise. The other side saw mortals as a problem and believed they would bring about the destruction of mythic society and would corrupt magic for their own destructive purposes. The Mythic Civil War lasted millions of years, slowly deteriorating the Mythic Imperium of the galaxy. Eventually, the mythics who wished to uplift the mortals created the Ultras, the godlike beings who would raise mortals from cave-dwellers to planet-hoppers. The Ultras were the most powerful beings still existing, and would be seeded all across the universe, as mortals were evolving everywhere.
One million Ultras were created, trained from the ancient Cosmic beings to reach a higher state of being. The millionth Ultra, Gosden, the only one born human, would arrive on the millionth world, Worldmillion, also known as Earth, to uplift humanity and take them into the stars. Once he arrived, there would be no turning back, and the Ultras all throughout the universe would begin the uplift procedure, raising mortals to create and use technology as if it were magic. Even with the Mythic Civil War long over, powerful, evil beings from the darkest depths of the galaxy would try to bring an end to mortal life, and the only ones who could stand in their way were the Ultras. Worldmillion is the story of the Ultras and their struggle to uplift mortals in the face of danger from the mythics who hate their existence.
Turner Thompson
Turner Thompson is a writer, artist, and model maker from Massachusetts who has been writing and rewriting the same stories since second grade. Starting out writing comic books with stick figures out of post-it notes in second grade, and eventually moving on to novels and short stories, Turner Thompson has secretly always wanted to be a writer. He always has a story to tell, something fun or strange going on in his head. Late in high school, he began developing the Worldmillion Universe by combining stories about vampires with stories about ancient gods. Dozens of different stories converged into on cohesive universe. Thompson also loves to draw, and has used his art to develop his universe even deeper. Drawings of characters, setting, ships, monsters, and all sort of action have come together over nearly a decade. Worldmillion-related art makes up only a tiny fraction of the sketches and drawings he has done over the years. Along with stories and art, Thompson also builds models and designs figures depicting characters and machines from the Worldmillion Universe. After gaining an interest in deep time, both past and future, Thompson has developed the idea of human history and human eventuality into a story spanning millions of years. With a degree in writing from UMASS Lowell, Thompson has developed a parallel world where anything is possible, and everything is explainable by magic and high technology. With knowledge of paleoanthropology, futurism, evolution, astronomy, mythology, and religion, Thompson has plans for a story with incredibly massive scope that will create a character out of a universe itself.
